藩校明倫館師範に任ぜられる

藩校明倫館師範はんこうめいりんかんしはんに任にんぜられる

松陰しょういんは一層勉学いっそうべんがくにはげみ、家学かがくの山鹿流兵学やまがりゅうへいがくだけでなく、藩士はんしの山田亦介やまだまたすけや佐藤寛作さとうかんさくから長沼流兵学ながぬまりゅうへいがくを、飯田猪之助いいだいのすけから西洋陣法せいようじんほうを、守永弥右衛門もりながやえもんから荻野流砲術おぎのりゅうほうじゅつをも学まなんだ。そして十九歳じゅうきゅうさいの嘉永元年かえいがんねん（1848）正月しょうがつ、林真人はやしまさと・山田宇右衛門やまだううえもん・井上七郎二郎いのうえしちろうじろうの家学後見かがくこうけんが解とかれ、これより独立どくりつの師範しはんとなった。

Yoshida Shoin diligently pursued his studies even more fervently, and he learned not only Yamaga style logistics which was hereditary learning for him but also Naganuma-style logistics from samurai Yamada Matasuke and Sato Kansaku. He also learned Western tactics from Iida Inosuke, and Ogino-style gunnery from Morinaga Yaemon.
At the age of 19, on the New Year of 1848 (the 1st year of Kaei era), Yoshida Shoin was released from the supervision of household of Hayashi Masato, Yamada Uemon and Inoue Shichiroujiro and became an independent instructor.
